Terms of service

Last updated October 20, 2026

i Plain-language summary first; the full terms follow.

The short version

  • You approve what leaves Slack, and you own that choice. A teammate drafts. A person on your team decides whether it is sent.
  • Your content stays yours. You let us use it only to run CrewOS for you.
  • 14 days free, then $49 a month per workspace. No card to start. Usage never goes past the cap you set.
  • Leave any time. Remove CrewOS from Slack and your data is deleted within 30 days.
  • Teammates can be wrong. Read what they draft before you approve it. That is why every outbound action waits for you.
  • Texas law applies. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

This agreement

These terms are an agreement between CrewOS ("we", "us") and the business that signs up for CrewOS ("you"). The person who accepts them confirms they are allowed to agree on the business's behalf. If you and CrewOS sign a separate written agreement, that agreement wins where the two differ.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information and is part of these terms.

Accounts

In short: keep your sign-in safe and invite only people who should have access.

  • You need a Slack workspace you are allowed to add apps to, and a work email to sign in.
  • You are responsible for the people you invite and for what happens under your account. Keep sign-in details private and tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone has gotten in who should not have.
  • Give us accurate account and billing details, and keep them current.

Acceptable use

Do not use CrewOS, or ask a teammate, to:

  • Break the law, or help someone else break it.
  • Send spam, or contact people who have not agreed to hear from you where the law requires consent.
  • Harass, threaten, deceive, or discriminate against anyone.
  • Collect or process information you have no right to, including other people's private data.
  • Probe, overload, or break into CrewOS or any connected service, or get around the spending cap.
  • Copy or resell CrewOS, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Make decisions about someone's credit, employment, housing, insurance, or health without a person reviewing them.

We may pause a teammate or an account that breaks these rules. When we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Your content

Your content is the messages, files, and tool data your teammates work with, and what they produce for you. You own it. You give us permission to store, process, and send it only as needed to run CrewOS for you, including sending it to the AI model providers listed on our subprocessors page. We do not use your content to train AI models.

You confirm you have the right to give us that content, including any customer information in it. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve CrewOS without owing you anything for it.

Approvals and responsibility

In short: a teammate prepares the work. A person on your team decides what is sent, and your business is responsible for what it approves.

  • Anything a teammate wants to do outside Slack, such as sending an email or a text, or changing a record in another tool, is held until a person says ok. Only the person who asked can approve their own request.
  • An approval covers the exact draft shown. If anyone edits it after approval, it needs a new ok before it is sent.
  • When someone on your team approves an action, your business is responsible for that action and its results, the same as if that person had done it themselves.
  • Replies a teammate posts inside Slack, and routines you schedule, run without a separate approval. You decide what each teammate is allowed to do and which tools it can use.

Billing, trials, and caps

Free trial

Each new workspace gets a 14-day free trial. You do not need a card to start. When the trial ends, teammates pause until you add a card. We will not charge you without one.

The Crew plan

The Crew plan costs $49 per workspace per month and includes $40 of AI usage each month. Usage past the included amount is billed with your plan, at the rates shown in the console. Prices do not include taxes, which we add where the law requires.

Spending cap

Every workspace has a hard monthly spending cap that you set. When usage reaches the cap, teammates pause and tell you in Slack. We do not bill usage past your cap. You can raise or lower the cap in the console at any time.

Payment and renewal

  • Plans renew each month until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • If a payment fails, we email you and try again. If it still fails after 14 days, we may pause your teammates until it is paid.
  • Fees are not refunded for partial months. If you think we charged you by mistake, email [email protected] within 60 days and we will look into it.
  • We give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to you.

Other services

CrewOS works inside Slack and connects to tools such as GitHub, Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, QuickBooks, Stripe, and Jobber. Your use of those services is governed by your agreements with them. We are not responsible for those services, and if one changes or stops working with CrewOS, some features may stop working too.

Ending this agreement

  • You can stop any time by canceling in the console and removing CrewOS from Slack. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you already paid for.
  • We can end this agreement with 30 days' notice. We can suspend or end it sooner if you seriously break these terms, do not pay, or if continuing would break the law or put other customers at risk.
  • After the agreement ends or CrewOS is removed from Slack, your workspace's data is deleted within 30 days. If you want an export first, email [email protected] before you leave.

Disclaimers

Teammates use AI models, and AI can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Read what a teammate drafts before you approve it, and do not rely on a teammate for legal, tax, medical, or safety decisions.

Apart from what these terms say, CrewOS is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that CrewOS will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable to the other for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or any indirect, special, or consequential damages, even if it was told they were possible.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claims under these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, to either side's indemnity obligations, or to liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, the actions your team approved, or your breach of these terms, you will defend us and cover the resulting costs. If someone claims that CrewOS itself infringes their intellectual property, we will defend you and cover the resulting costs. Each side will tell the other promptly about any such claim and cooperate in the defense.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and both sides agree to those courts' jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top when we do. For changes that affect your rights in a meaningful way, we email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using CrewOS after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before they take effect.
