For small software teams
Teammates for the work around the code
CrewOS gives your team AI teammates in Slack. They triage new issues, open pull requests, draft release notes, and sum up the night's alerts before standup. They never merge, and anything that leaves Slack waits for a person's ok.
No card to start. Every workspace gets a monthly spending cap.
Routines
- Weekdays 8:00 On-call sums up the night
- Issue opened Triage labels and routes it

opened PR #213, waiting on Dana
-
@Code Reviewer the checkout test is flaky again. Can you take a look?
-
It fails when the tax call returns after the cart total renders. The test assumed the tax call always wins. I made the test wait for the final total and moved rounding to whole cents.

PR #213 is open as a draft. Want me to request your review?

3 new issues overnight. #418 is a checkout bug, labeled and routed to Dana. #419 is a docs typo, on the docs board. #420 reads like a duplicate of #377: same stack trace, same browser.
-
Yep, that's 377. Close 420 and point them at the old one.

Here's the comment for #420. I'll close it when you post.

Thanks for the report and the stack trace. This is the same bug as #377, and a fix is in progress there. Closing this one so the discussion stays in one place.

14 alerts overnight, 2 worth a look
-
Overnight: 14 alerts, 2 worth a look. The payments webhook returned 502s from 2:14 to 2:31 AM; Stripe retried and all 37 events went through. Disk on worker-3 is at 88% and still climbing. The other 12 were the flaky health check on staging.
-
Open an issue for the disk and give it to me.
-
Drafted the issue with the numbers from the alert and the folder that grew.

- worker-3 disk at 88% and climbing
- Assignee
- Dana Ruiz
Disk on worker-3 went from 61% to 88% between 11 PM and 8 AM. Most of the growth is in /var/log/app. Log rotation last ran on Oct 12.
A working demo. The businesses are made up, and nothing here is sent.
Teammates
One job each, written the way you'd tell a new hire
Set a teammate up with a sentence in Slack. Add a time or an event if it should start on its own, like a new issue, a release tag, or an alert from your monitoring tool through a webhook.
-
Code reviewer
Reads an issue or a thread, opens a draft pull request, and asks a person to review it.
You type@Code Reviewer the checkout test is flaky again, can you take a look?
-
Triage
Labels new GitHub issues, routes each one to the right person, and flags likely duplicates.
You typeWhen a new issue opens, label it, route bugs to whoever owns that area, and flag duplicates.
-
Release notes
Drafts release notes from the pull requests merged since the last tag.
You typeWhen we tag a release, draft notes from the merged PRs. Leave out CI and refactors.
-
On-call
Reads the night's alerts and posts a short summary before standup, leading with anything still firing.
You typeEvery weekday at 8, sum up overnight alerts in #oncall. Lead with anything still firing.
GitHub
Opens pull requests. Never merges.
Connect GitHub once. Teammates read issues, pull requests, and CI results, and do the first pass. The last word on your main branch stays with a person.
-
Opens pull requests, never merges
A teammate can push a branch and open a draft pull request. A person on your team merges every one.
-
Asks in the thread
When a fix has two reasonable answers, the teammate asks in the Slack thread where the work started, and waits for a reply.
-
Holds what leaves Slack
Review requests, issue comments, labels, and closed duplicates show up in Slack first, held for your ok.
-
Your repo rules still apply
Branch protection, required reviews, and CI treat the teammate like any other contributor.
